Corelan Logo contest – Derbycon 2013
For the third year in a row, I’ll be teaching the Corelan Exploit Dev Bootcamp at Derbycon. If you were able to grab a ticket to the course, you can expect a true bootcamp-style, very hands-on course, spanning 2 (very long) days. I hope you are as excited about it as I am.
For the third year in a row, the class has sold out already…. And yes, for the third year in a row, we decided to give one ticket away. The ticket includes admission to the conference itself and is worth $1000 USD.
Very similar to what we did the past 2 years, we’re going to give the creative minds a chance to grab the win ticket.
The rules for the contest are quite simple:
Contest rules
1. Design a brand new Corelan logo. Make sure to mention the word "Corelan" or "Corelan Team". The logo can be very different from our current logo in terms of style / color / etc. Use your creativity & imagination. Make sure the logo will stand out when printed on T-Shirts, small and large format.
2. The logo must be original work, royalty free and can only contain elements that are royalty free.
3. By submitting a design, you agree that we can use the logo without restrictions. (You basically grant us exclusive rights to use the design, for any purposes)
4. You are allowed to update your submissions and send in updated versions of your design, but we’ll assume the last version of a given design is the one that you want to use in the contest.
5. You are allowed to send in multiple designs.
6. The maximum size for the logo/image is 10 x 10 inches (25,4 x 25,4 cm). It is recommended to make your logo as large as possible (as close as possible to the aforementioned size limit)
7. Save the logo as a high-quality png file & make sure the logo sits on a transparent background.
8. There will be only one winner. The ticket only includes admissions to the course and to Derbycon itself. You need to pay for any other costs & expenses such as travel, hotel, etc.
9. If you have already purchased a ticket, you cannot participate in the contest. You can still send in designs if you want to.
10. If none of the submissions meets the rules, or if no submissions were received, there may not be a winner after all.
When you are ready to submit your design,
1. Zip the image file & email the archive to contest [at] corelan {dot} be. The maximum file size is 10Mb. If your file is larger, please send us a direct download link.
2. Include your real name & email address (and twitter handle, if any). We will not accept submissions that don’t mention your real name & email address.
3. Make sure your design gets delivered in our mailbox no later than July 29th, 2013; 22:00 GMT+1.
We will announce the winner on July 31st, 2013.
